Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! Our commitment at Al-Madinah Middle School is to ensure and provide for all our students a healthy learning environment that encourages them to become critical thinkers, problem solvers and inspired learners that contribute productively to the 21st-century workplace and positively influence the communities they serve and live in.

At Al-Madinah Middle School we strongly believe that every child can learn. With this underlying philosophy, we provide our students with multiple pathways to reach their utmost learning potential, not only our students’ learning needs are met; we establish an atmosphere for the healthy growth of the whole child by nurturing their social and psychological needs. We caress our students’ growth by a sound character education inspired by our Islamic values; we help shape their friendships with peers and secure their relationships with parents, teachers and other adults affecting their lives. We strive to promote social and critical thinking skills that facilitate sound decision making while dealing with issues affecting their everyday lives both inside and outside of school.

At Al-Madinah Middle School, our teachers serve our students by creating learning opportunities that promote collaboration, critical problem solving and intellectual risk-taking. Instruction is designed by integrating research-based strategies, technological tools and resources to enhance learning. Our teachers are involved in an ongoing professional and collaborative learning process where new knowledge, exemplary teaching practices, data-based decision making, designing instruction and peer observation/feedback are well-established norms.

When your student steps into our school, he/she enters an environment where high expectations, standard-based academics, integration of 21st-century learning skills, sound religious character education and whole child wellness are some of the critical values that will touch and shape his or her life!

Young Scientist Symposium

We want to thank all our parents who participated in our Young Scientist Symposium and appreciated our students' work.
Here are some comments from our parents who attended the symposium.

Mohammed T. Islam Parent of a 6th grader (Girls)

Mashallah, the Young Scientist Symposium was very a good idea. It provides parents with an opportunity to witness how our kids are learning and also be able to present to  parent at the same time. An Excellent idea, I really enjoyed it.

Rawshan Shahraiar Parent of  6th grader (Boys)

I really liked the  Young Scientist Symposium because it shows how much our kids have learned over the course  of this school year.

Naima Elmoujjat Parent of 7th grader (Girls)

I think Young Scientist Symposium was really a good idea. I did learned some information from the students, I also believe that some students may need more practice in presenting the information to the audience. Overall a good experience.

Samanta Jahan Sister of 8th grader (Girls)

Some students needed to explain the procedure better. Overall good effort !
