IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING

NYC DOE YELLOW SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION

The safety and well-being of our students is our first priority. We kindly ask that you speak with your child about proper bus behavior . Inappropriate behavior on the bus will not be tolerated. Students who misbehave on the bus will be suspended off the bus and parents will be required to pick up their child from school.

While children are riding the school bus, they are expected to observe the following rules:

- Students must wear face masks while riding the bus.

- Students are to be respectful and courteous to the bus driver and follow his/her directions.

- Students must remain seated while the bus is in motion.

- Students are not to extend arms, hands, legs or any objects out of the bus windows.

- Students will be let off the bus only at the school and their designated stop.

- Students are to keep book bags and other items out of the aisles.

- Students are not allowed to eat or drink on the bus.

- Students are to keep the bus clean and properly dispose of their litter.

- No yelling or screaming – talk quietly.

- Do not play with the emergency exit door.

The New York City Department of Education’s Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) has assigned All-American Bus Company to transport Al-Madinah School students to and from school this year. If you have any problems with your child’s bus service, please contact the dispatcher at the bus company. Please have your child’s bus route number and stop location available when calling.
