Assalam Alaikum Parents,


A warm welcome to all our kindergarteners! We hope you had a great summer vacation and are ready for this year’s learning adventure. Kindergarten is a time for children to experience their love of learning, their general knowledge, their ability to get along with others, and their interest in reaching out to the world. We are looking forward to a fun, exciting and a successful year!


Classroom Policies 


Homework Policy 

Homework packets are distributed every Monday. It must be completed and returned the following Monday.  Please be advised that homework will be graded every week and it is very important for your child to hand in the homework packet every week. 


Test Policy 

Students will be taking tests for reading, math, science, and social studies. Reading tests are administered biweekly. Math tests will be administered after every topic. Your child will receive review sheets. Finally, students will be taking quizzes and tests for science and social studies. You will be notified a week before the test. 


Folder Policy 

Students must bring two folders every day, one labeled “KB” and the other  labeled “Arabic”. Please make sure your child’s homework packet or returned forms are placed in the “KB” folder. 


School Supplies

Please make sure your child brings in all school supplies on the list and please make sure it's all labeled. We want to make sure your child has all the tools they need to have a successful year.


Uniform Policy

Please make sure your child comes with the proper uniform every day. Students and parents will be informed on dress-down days.  Also, please send in extra change of clothes for accidents. 

Bathroom Policy

If your child needs to use the bathroom more than 4 times a day, please send in a note in your child’s folder


Class Dojo

We will be using a platform called Class Dojo to communicate with parents. We will inform you on how to access the platform.


Jummah Treats

We want our students to understand that every Friday is a special day and we would like to share treats. We kindly ask you to have your child bring in a treat to share with the class on Fridays. JAK!


Allergies 

Please notify us if your child is allergic to any type of food. Please send a note in your child’s folder. 




Dismissal Policy

Dismissal is at 3:00 pm, please make sure you pick up your child on time.
