Admissions Policy

Al-Madinah School has an open door policy for admissions. However, in Islam discipline is very important. We have a strict code of behavior which must be followed by our students. If the child does not meet our code of Islamic behavior the child will be expelled from the school.

Placement examinations and Conditions Upon Enrollment are given to students when there is an uncertainty in academic performance or behavior. Registration and re-registration begins in late April.

Terms of Agreement 2008 - 2009

1.      TUITION POLICY (Tuition is non-refundable, non-transferable).  Tuition is a yearly fee broken down into semester payments to make payments easier for parents.  Parents of registered students agree to pay the full yearly tuition fee even if the student withdraws, applies late, and/or graduates early.  Payments are broken down to be paid by semester and not by month.  Semester payments start in October and end in April.  In order to re-register, all previous accounts must be paid in full.  There are 3 payment semesters per year as follows:

a.      Fall Semester (October – December) must be paid by October 1st of the current school year.

b.      Winter Semester (January – March) must be paid by January 1st of the current school year.

c.      Spring Semester (April – June) must be paid by April 1st, of the current school year.

·   Full semester tuition is required even if the child is enrolled late.  Parents who withdraw their child from school anytime during the Fall, Winter or Spring semesters are responsible for the full tuition.

·   Upon withdrawal from the school, all payments must be paid in cash or money order (NO CHECKS).

·   Returned/bounced checks will incur a school handling charge of a minimum of $30 per check.

·   Failure to maintain payments by the due dates indicated will result in child(ren) being dismissed from class and/or school.

·   The school fee, lab fee and standardized testing fee are non-refundable/non-transferable.

2.      After school, weekend school and summer programs require separate agreements.

3.      School records and all official letters will be held until all accounts are paid in full.

4.      Parents are responsible for paying for any lost/stolen textbooks.  Student will not receive a replacement until this fee is paid.  Parents are entitled to all workbooks.

5.      Al-Madinah reserves the right to expel a student at any time (due to safety, behavior or academic reasons).

6.      Parents agree to all conditions in our “Behavior Consequence Policy.”

7.      Un-Islamic behavior by parents on school grounds will not be tolerated and may affect the enrollment of their child (expulsion).

8.      Students present in the school building before/after school hours will not be the responsibility of the school.

9.      Students who are picked up after dismissal time will be charged a late fee of $15.00 per half hour.

10.  Tuition is not refunded/transferred or accredited for suspensions, expulsions, or school closings.

11.  The school reserves the right to not promote any student who does not meet school standards.

12.  Al-Madinah School reserves the right to deny registration or place conditions upon enrollment.

13.  Parents agree to abide by all school rules and regulations (ex. uniform, I.D., etc.).

14.  Parents need to dress Islamically upon entering the school building.

15.  Parents agree to give the school the right to photograph/videotape students for evaluation/educational purposes and publication of school activities and events.

16.  The school cannot accommodate for students with IEPs (Individualized Education Plan).

17.  WAITING LIST.  Parents whose child(ren) is/are on a waiting list are responsible for the registration fee.  If by the first week of school there is no room for the child in class, registration fees will be refunded.  If the child is accepted, the parents have two days to come and pay the rest of the payments that are due.  Failure to do so will result in the child losing the opening and the registration fee will not be refunded.  Registration fees will not be refunded if parent changes his/her mind.  Waiting lists are on a first come, first served basis – seats are limited.
